Finally the Truth About Renewables

Google scientists Ross Koningstein and David Fork admit that renewables won’t save the world from global warming.

They were put to work by Google in 2007 to establish how renewables, such as wind and solar, could replace fossil fuels and bring atmospheric levels down to acceptable levels.

Alarmists have claimed that CO2 emissions were causing a steady increase in atmospheric CO2 levels, that high levels of atmospheric CO2 were causing global warming and that atmospheric levels of CO2 must not remain above 350 ppm or there would be a climate catastrophe.

Google halted their research in 2011 when it became clear it was impossible for renewables to cut CO2 emissions enough to prevent a climate disaster and meet the demands dictated by the IPCC.

The IPCC has said CO2 emissions must be cut worldwide 50% by 2050, or there would be a climate disaster.

The IPCC also said developed nations, including the United States, must cut their emissions 80% by 2050 so that developing nations, including China, could continue to increase their CO2 emissions, albeit, at a slower pace.

As my articles have indicated on several occasions, this was an impossible goal for the United States.

See articles:

Cutting CO2 emissions 80% by 2050 has been an unrelenting goal of the Obama administration and the EPA. President Obama also recently entered into an agreement with China for the United States to cut its CO2 emissions by 2030, while leaving China free to continue increasing their CO2 emissions until then.

The two Google scientists, Ross Koningstein and David Fork, write in detail why it’s impossible to cut CO2 emissions enough to prevent a climate disaster. See, http://spectrum.ieee.org/energy/renewables/what-it-would-really-take-to-reverse-climate-change

Unfortunately, these Google scientists still cling to the unsupportable hypothesis that CO2 in the atmosphere is the cause of global warming.

But, they finally admit to what thousands of engineers and scientists have said all along: It’s impossible to cut CO2 emissions enough to prevent a climate catastrophe, assuming CO2 is the culprit.

And, they also admit there is no currently available technology that can cut CO2 emissions by the amount needed to bring atmospheric CO2 levels down to below 350 ppm.

Now that Google engineers have finally admitted it’s impossible to cut CO2 emissions by the amount needed to prevent a climate disaster, perhaps this administration will finally admit their attempts to cut CO2 emissions are misguided.

In fact, trying to cut CO2 emissions is the real disaster in the making.

Referring once again to the three articles linked above, continuing efforts to cut CO2 emissions will harm Americans.
